Abstract
BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to assess behavioural recovery from the patient's perspective as a prespecified secondary outcome in a multicentre parallel-group randomized clinical trial comparing ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (UGFS), endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and surgery for the treatment of primary varicose veins.Entities:

Figure 2CONSORT diagram for the trial. Reasons for postrandomization exclusion included: recurrent varicose veins and veins larger than 15 mm. Reasons for withdrawal from follow‐up included: patient decided not to proceed with treatment (and also declined follow‐up), declined follow‐up after treatment or did not wish to complete questionnaires. UGFS, ultrasound‐guided foam sclerotherapy; EVLA, endovenous laser ablation
