Abstract
The aim of this article is to provide nurse practitioners with a better understanding of the transition from chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) to hydrofluoralkane (HFA) metered-dose inhalers (MDIs). The authors discuss the differences in these products' propellants; the proper use, cost, and efficacy of the HFA inhalers; and the implications of the switch for NPs and for their patients with asthma.Entities:
