Abstract
BACKGROUND: Limited data exist on the association of serum gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) level within the reference range with the increased risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) prediction in men. The study examined the association between serum GGT concentration within the reference range and the CHD risk prediction in Korean men.Entities:

Data are expressed as mean ± SE after data weighting in complex sample analysis. GGT: Gamma-glutamyl transferase; BW: Body weight; BMI: Body mass index; WC: Waist circumference; SBP: Systolic blood pressure; DBP: Diastolic blood pressure; HDL-C: High-density lipoprotein cholesterol; LDL-C: Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol; TG: Total glycerides; AST: Aspartate aminotransferase; ALT: Alanine aminotransferase; CHD: Coronary heart disease; SE: Standard error; Q1: 1st quartile; Q2: 2nd quartile; Q3: 3rd quartile; Q4: 4th quartile. The amount alcohol consumption calculation formula: 10 g × shots × frequency/week.
