INTRODUCTION: In California's agricultural Central Valley, the rate of childhood obesity is higher than the national average. Adequate physical activity contributes to obesity prevention and its assessment is useful to evaluate the impact of interventions.Entities:

The reference category is overweight/obese and was defined using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s growth charts as body mass index ≥85th percentile. Healthy weight was defined as BMI <85th percentile.
