Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma (Sqc) of the pancreas is considered to be extremely rare. We report the case of a 79-year-old male with Sqc of the pancreas complicated by massive gastric ulcer fistula and multiple lymph node metastases. After completing two courses of S-1 chemotherapy, the gastric ulcer fistula and lymph node metastases improved. Sqc of the pancreas is usually associated with a poor prognosis. Various therapeutic regimens have been used for this type of cancer, but none has been proven effective. To the best of our knowledge, this report is the first on the effective response of pancreatic Sqc treated by S-1 chemotherapy.Entities:
