Figure 1Phylogenetic tree based on rpsA gene sequences shows the relationship of the 47 type strains of mycobacteria and 1 outgroup strain. This tree was constructed by the neighbor-joining method. Topology was also evaluated by bootstrap analysis (MEGA program, 1000 repeats, with R. equi as the outgroup). The numerical values in the tree represent bootstrap results.
