Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To present the utility of the recently introduced Maniceps septum stitch device for suturing of the nasal septum.
METHODS: This paper describes nasal septum suturing techniques using the Maniceps septum stitch device following septoplasty to prevent post-operative complications such as haematoma and nasal septum perforation.
CONCLUSION: Nasal septum suturing using the Maniceps septum stitch device appears to be a safe and easy surgical procedure to help prevent post-operative complications and may reduce the incidence of nasal septum perforation following septoplasty.
