Abstract
BACKGROUND: Several studies show that the consumption of vegetable oils, such as soybean oil, rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) has beneficial health effects by preventing or reducing the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases. While the demonstration of beneficial effects of the consumption of unsaturated fatty acids on the cardiovascular system has been proven in a macroscopic level, the molecular/cellular mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon are poorly understood.Entities:

HR - heart rate; SBP - systolic blood pressure; DBP - diastolic blood pressure; LVSP left ventricle systolic pressure; LVEDP - left ventricle end diastolic pressure; dP/dt + maximal rate of pressure development; dP/dt − maximal rate of pressure decay. Data are mean ± S.E.M. Student “t” test, *p < 0.05 vs. CT.
Figure 1Representative 2-DE protein extracts of the left ventricle of the an animal CT. The numbered and surrounded points are statistically different (p <0.05) between groups. (°) spots only visualized in the gels of the TR group. (*) proteins identified by MS and MS/MS.
