Abbreviation: CCTo, central corneal thickness in operated eye.
Figure 1Length of time it takes for the cornea to return to preoperative thickness value.
Notes: The mean corneal thickness in the operated eye before surgery was 520.6±20.3 μm. This rose to 597.9±30.4 μm a day after surgery but reduced relatively 2 weeks after surgery to 555.2±24.7 μm. The mean central corneal thickness, however, reduced closest to the preoperative value with a mean of 525.1±19.5 μm at 8 weeks after surgery was performed. In the unoperated eye, the mean corneal thickness before surgery was 521.0±19.7 μm. This rose to the highest a day after surgery with mean of 529.5±21.3 μm and reduced close to its preoperative thickness value at 4 weeks post-surgery with mean of 522.7±21.4 μm.
