Abstract
BACKGROUND: Recognition of different genetic variants underlying osteoporosis would make it possible to introduce individual, symptomatic treatment as well as early prophylaxis of osteoporosis. The aim of the study was to evaluate the frequency of the rs2275913 (-197G > A) polymorphism of the IL-17 gene and assess the relation of this polymorphism with the clinical parameters of the osseous turnover and degree of the postmenopausal osteoporosis.Entities:
