A dual FRET based fluorescent probe as a multiple logic system.

Abstract

A new fluorescent probe with a unique sequential dual FRET process was designed and constructed. This probe showed distinguished responses towards Fe(3+) and Hg(2+), making it an ideal candidate for multiple logic operations at the molecular level.
