Abstract
The TNM classification of lung tumors has undergone many changes in the seventh edition published in 2010. These changes reflect current data and are based on the findings of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) from 81,495 patients and concern definitions of the T and M categories as well as stage grouping. They include a better description of regional lymph nodes of the lungs based on uniformly accepted definitions by the IASLC. The changes can lead to problems in the use of the definitions and will be discussed.Entities:
