The two development methods were (a) microsatellite-enriched library construction by Genetic Identification Services (GIS; La Cañada Flintridge, California, USA; http://www.genetic-id-services.com/) for P. elliptica and (b) 454 GS-FLX shotgun sequencing for P. longifolia.
“na” indicates that the primer was not used for P. elliptica; for primers that are used in both species, values for P. elliptica are listed first.
