Self-expanding stainless steel endotracheal stents: an animal study.

K Rauber1, C Franke, W S Rau.

Abstract

In a rabbit model, self-expanding self-constructed stainless steel endotracheal stents were used to widen the trachea. The stents were overgrown with tracheal epithelium and, except for granuloma formation, elicited no complications.
