Abstract
Breast augmentation remains one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed in the United States. Silicone implants have undergone an evolution with the availability of both fourth- and fifth-generation devices from the 3 leading manufacturers in the United States. This article explores the evolution of breast implants with special emphasis on the advancement of the silicone implants. Clinicians should strive to provide ongoing data and sound science to continue to improve clinical outcomes in the future.Entities:
