ICU - intensive care unit; SWIFT - Stability and Workload Index for Transfer; SOFA - Sequential Organ Failure Assessment; CRP - C-reactive protein; BD - base deficit; ScvO2 - central venous oxygen saturation. The results are expressed as numbers (percentages) or medians (interval 25 to 75%) min-max. SAPS 3, Simplified Acute Physiology Score 3. Differences in the number of laboratory data available on CRP, ScvO2, lactate, and BD levels are a result of the observational nature of the study, considering that data collection was dependent on patient availability.
