The measurement of 'social disablement'. The MRC social behaviour and social role performance schedules.

J K Wing.

Abstract

During the past 40 years a series of instruments has been developed in the MRC Social Psychiatry Unit to measure various components of social disablement. Their conceptual basis is discussed and a brief description is provided of those that are still in use or often quoted. A bibliography is also appended.
