Abstract
BACKGROUND: Tooth brushing (with fluoridated toothpaste) is the most cost-effective intervention in dentistry and it is widely recommended to preserve good oral health. We aimed to determine the frequency of tooth brushing and the variables associated with this practice in schoolchildren living in southeast Mexico.Entities:

Reference category.
Adjusted odds ratios for the variables in the table plus father’s schooling. Confidence intervals were calculated with robust standard errors (adjusted for school clustering).
Goodness of fit: Hosmer & Lemeshow c2 (8)=9.29, p=0.3181.
Specification Error: estimator =0.000; estimator2 =0.921.
