[Problems of cyanophyceae].

E G Pringsheim1.

Abstract

The Cyanophyceae are shown not to be so well understood as might be expected. Their mode of development and reproduction, and their liability to modification cannot be comprehended without clone cultures. The lack of knowledge affects taxonomy as much as physiology.A few examples demonstrate deviations from generally accepted ideas.
