Photoreduction of acetylene by heterocysts.

C P Wolk1, E Wojciuch.

Abstract

Heterocysts of aerobically grown Anabaena cylindrica can reduce acetylene in the light, without added cofactors, up to 30% as rapidly as can the intact filaments from which they are derived.
