Abstract

Telemedicine is an essential technology for providing high-quality health care to rural people. Though India has not yet passed any legislation on telemedicine related issues, a beginning has however been made. Guidelines and Standards for Practice of Telemedicine in India have already been recommended by the Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India.
