CKD: chronic kidney disease stage, CR: serum creatinine; BUN: blood urea nitrogen, eGFR: estimated glomerular filtration rate, HGB: hemoglobin, HCT: hematocrit, and PLT: platelets. Reference ranges: CR: 0.76–1.27 mg/dL; BUN: 5–26 mg/dL; eGFR > 59 mL/min/1.73; HGB: 12.5–17.0 g/dL, HCT: 36.0–50.0%, and PLT: 140–415 × 103/μL.
