Abstract
We estimated influenza vaccination coverage of 32 percent among persons 65 years of age and older from the 1987 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey. Race other than White, obesity, lack of seatbelt use, and current smoking were associated with decreased likelihood of having been vaccinated. Controlling for these factors, the best predictor of having received influenza vaccination was having had a medical checkup within the last year (Odds Ratio = 2.40, 95% confidence interval = 1.84, 3.14).Entities:
