Abstract

The effect of pesticides onAlternaria mycotoxins was evaluated both in culture media and in sunflower seeds. Different behaviour was observed depending on whether insecticides or fungicides were considered. When Captan, Lindaphor and Dichlorvos were evaluated in sunflower seeds their effects were dependent on the toxin being evaluated (alternariol, alternariol monomethyl ether and tenuazonic acid). A full spectrum of effects was observed, ranging from no effect, stimulation, to inhibition.
