Indole-based fluorescent sensors for selective detection of Hg2+.

Yao-Lin Sun1, An-Tai Wu.

Abstract

A series of indole-based fluorescent chemosensors 1-4 were prepared and investigated characteristick features with transition metal ions. Sensors 1 and 2 were selective for Hg(2+) ion among a series of metal ions in H2O-DMSO with association constants of 4.60×10(4) and 5.90×10(4) M(-1) and detection limits of 140 and 101.6 μM, respectively.
