Intermittent claudication in adolescence due to incomplete persistent sciatic artery.

G Johansson1.

Abstract

A 17-year-old boy presented with severe unilateral claudication. It was demonstrated that the anatomical basis of his complaint was a combination of an incomplete sciatic artery and a non-patent femoral artery. Treatment with an iliac-popliteal by pass established an efficient circulation.
