Rupture of the flexor hallucis longus tendon: case report.

R B Rasmussen1, E P Thyssen.

Abstract

A case of acute rupture of the flexor hallucis longus tendon is described. This occurrence is rare and has only been reported in connection with other lesions. A gliding tendon is apparently not essential to obtain good functional results in such a case of rupture or laceration.
