Abstract
BACKGROUND: Hypothyroidism is a frequent late side effect of radiation therapy of the cervical region. Purpose of this work is to develop multivariate normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) models for radiation-induced hypothyroidism (RHT) and to compare them with already existing NTCP models for RHT.Entities:

Figure 1The cross-correlation matrixes for the variables belonging to set 1 (a) and to set 2 (b). The colorbar represents the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient value. NTCP: normal tissue complication probability , Vx (%):percentage of thyroid volume exceeding X Gy; Vx (cc): absolute thyroid volume exceeding X Gy.
