Abstract
A recent study by Redick and colleagues found no improvements in cognition or intelligence after working memory training using a randomized, placebo-controlled design. Here, I argue that, although conventional training protocols may be ineffective, positive effects might be obtained when future research takes into account factors known to promote more general learning.Entities:
