Prediction of recurrence after complete resection in patients with NSCLC.

Hidetaka Uramoto1, Fumihiro Tanaka.

Abstract

A proportion of lung cancer patients develop recurrence, even after curative resection. This study reviewed the literature, focusing on the key words: recurrence, relapse, relapse-free survival, disease-free survival (DFS), surgery, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), not overall survival (OS) to evaluate the post-operative risk factors for tumor recurrence after surgery. This article reviews the current status and progress on this subject.
