Abstract
Osteomyelitis ossis pubis is a painful disorder. It is rare following a normal vaginal delivery. In two cases, the diagnosis was verified by an ultrasound-guided needle aspiration postpartum. Both recovered after treatment with relevant antibiotics. The condition is easily misinterpreted as one of more common disorders like pelvic girdle pain, inflammation, diastasis or distortion of the pubic symphysis joint. If not recognised and treated, the condition can have severe consequences.Entities:
