Abstract
Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are at 2 to 4 times increased risk of cardiovascular events compared with those without diabetes, both among patients with multiple risk factors only and those with established atherothrombosis. In this review, we provide recommendations for the use of statins and aspirin for the prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients with diabetes mellitus.Entities:
