Abstract
The analysis of association between DNA markers and total stroke risk was performed in 950 Slavonic patients. Patients with cardioembolic stroke were selected for a genome-wide association study. The HUMANCYTOSNP12 v.2 microchip was used to analyze all DNA samples on a panel of 301 000 single nucleotide polymorphisms. SNP rs1842993 on chromosome 7 was found to be associated with cardioembolic stroke risk.Entities:
