Abstract
Studies suggest a protective relationship between Vitamin D and breast cancer risk. Several studies assessed the association of Vitamin D with mammographic breast density, a known and strong breast cancer risk factor. Understanding the potential role of Vitamin D in the modification of breast density might open new avenues in breast cancer prevention. This systematic review summarizes published studies that investigated the association between Vitamin D and mammographic breast density and offers suggestions for strategies to advance our scientific knowledge.Entities:
