Abstract
Each year in the United States about 1 in 20 women experiences an unintended pregnancy. Understanding the impact of consistent, appropriate, and effective contraception on this major health care concern is key to overcoming this societal and economic burden. In addition to available family-planning services, women need ongoing support in choosing and using methods based on her overall life situation, as well as strategies to address the logistic and cost barriers to effective birth control.Entities:
