Abstract
The objectives of treatment for patients with chronic heart failure are the prevention of the initial occurrence, the alleviation of signs and symptoms, the delay of the progression of damage to heart muscle and the reduction of the mortality rate. Many drugs are used in severe heart failure. Current controversy is concerned with which drugs to use in patients with mild heart failure or with left ventricular dysfunction. There is a trend towards the earlier introduction of an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor combined with a diuretic.Entities:
