Abstract
Musculoskeletal ultrasound has come a long way in 40 years. Reflecting changes in computer technology, ultrasound equipment has developed from machines that have filled examination rooms with mechanical probes linked by hinged arms for spatial localisation, to high-resolution machines that are the size of laptops using compact hand-held probes designed for both external and internal imaging.Mesh:
