BACKGROUND: Not much is known about the effect of Salmonella enteritidis on changes in the developmental processes occurring in the intestine of young chicken. Cluster F shows negative correlation with the number of Colony Forming Units (CFUs) in liver from 0.33 – 4 days post infection (dpi), whereas clusters G, H and I have positive correlation in that time period.
