Abstract
The correct determination of distance glasses depends on a correct objective refraction and a subject determination of power and axis of a possible astigmatism in both a coarse and fine manner. In suitable cases a binocular fine refraction under polarized conditions with a red-green test should be performed. Special considerations have to be taken into account in cases of high unilateral congenital or acquired astigmatism as well as in case of congenital or acquired anisometropia or aniseiconia.Entities:
