Abstract

Self-assemblies between a linear n class="Chemical">Pt-n class="Chemical">based n class="Species">donor and class="Chemical">pan class="Chemical">ferrocene- chelated metallic acceptors produced novel heterometallic squares 4 and 5, which show fluorescence quenching upon the addition of nitro-aromatics. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011
