Abstract
Computer-assisted interpretation of electrocardiograms offers theoretical benefits to rural physicians. This study compared computer-assisted interpretations by a rural physician certified to read ECGs with interpretations by the computer alone. The computer interpretation alone could have led to major errors in patient management, but was correct sufficiently often to warrant purchase by small rural hospitals.Entities:
