Mutagenicity of 42 chemicals in Salmonella.

E Zeiger1.

Abstract

The mutagenicity results and data for 42 chemicals are reported. All chemicals were tested using the Salmonella/microsome assay preincubation protocol, and four were also tested using vapor phase exposure in a desiccator. These comprise the chemicals studied in the update of the National Toxicology Program's evaluation of the efficacy of in vitro short-term tests for detecting carcinogens and noncarcinogens.
