Abstract
South Korea, we performed molecular screening in fecal and nasopharyngeal samples from hospitalized children with gastroenteritis. A total of 26 (8.8%) of 294 fecal samples were positive for klassevirus. Klassevirus may be a possible cause of gastroenteritis.Entities:

*VP, viral protein.
Figure A1Phylogenetic analysis of the A) partial viral protein (VP) 0/VP1 (852 bp), B) 3D (668 bp), and C) 2C (345 bp) gene sequences of klassevirus-1 strains. The klassevirus-1 strains isolated in this study are indicated in boldface. The tree was constructed by using the neighbor-joining method with Kimura 2-parameter estimation. The bootstrap values from 1,000 replicates are present on each branch. The nucleotide sequences identified in this study have been deposited in GenBank under accession nos. HM38122–HM038147 (3D gene), HM038148–HM038170 (VP0/VP1 gene), and HM038171–HM038196 (2C gene). AU, Australia; KR, Korea; SP, Spain; US, United States.
