Palladium-catalyzed direct oxidative alkenylation of azoles.

Abstract

The direct heteroaromatic sp(2) C-H alkenylation of 2-substituted azole compounds with alkenes proceeds in the presence of Pd(OAc)(2) and AgOAc as catalyst and oxidant, respectively, to afford the corresponding 5-alkenylated azoles in good yields.
