Abbreviations: OR=odds ratio; CI=confidence interval; KS=Kaposi's sarcoma; NHL=non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Odds ratios are adjusted for age (67–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80–84, and 85–99 years), gender, selection year (1987–1993, 1994–1997, 1998–2000, and 2000–2002), and number of physician claims (0–4, 5–39, 40–109, and 110+). For consistency, all odds ratios are displayed to two decimal places, although in some instances the number of subjects with the specified medical condition is small. When the number of subjects with the autoimmune condition was between 1 and 10, the result is listed as ‘n<11’ to preserve subjects’ anonymity in accordance with the SEER-Medicare data use agreement.
Association was significant after accounting for multiple testing using the Benjamini and Hochberg correction.
