Abstract
Wilms' tumor is the most common malignant renal tumor in children. Survival has improved dramatically over time as a result of prospective randomized clinical trials conducted by the pediatric cooperative cancer groups. Current research is directed toward identifying low-risk patients for whom a reduction in treatment intensity would decrease long-term morbidity. This article reviews the most recent advances in the biology and treatment of children with Wilms' tumor.Entities:
