Abstract
Geographic access to food is an important dimension of food insecurity in the US, because it affects the cost of food that low-income consumers face and the decisions they make about which foods to purchase. This symposium highlighted several recent studies that developed new techniques for characterizing the food environment, analyzed its influence on consumption and weight status, and explored alternative policy options for interventions.Mesh:
