Abstract
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) or astrocytoma grade IV on WHO classification is the most aggressive and the most frequent of all primary brain tumors. Glioblastoma is multiforme, resistant to therapeutic interventions illustrating the heterogeneity exhibited by this tumor in its every aspect, including clinical presentation, pathology, genetic signature. Current data and treatment strategy in GBM are presented focusing on basic science data and key clinical aspects like surgery, including personal experience; adjuvant modalities: radiotherapy, chemotherapy, but also for experimental approaches. Therapeutic attitude in recurrent GBM is also widely discussed.Entities:
