Abstract
Anterior dislocation of the mandibular condyle is commonly seen in patients with chronic dislocation of their temporomandibular joints. Posterior, superior and lateral dislocation is rare. Superolateral dislocation of an intact condyle, let alone intact mandible is uncommon, usually occurring after a traumatic insult to the mandible.
