Abstract
The prevalence of sleep disturbance among 400 patients, diagnosed with anorexia nervosa (AN) or bulimia nervosa (BN), was assessed via structured interviews. Sleep disturbance was reported in 50.3% of patients, especially among those with the binge-eating/purging subtype. Patients with sleep disturbance had more disturbing symptoms; including higher binge frequency and vomiting frequency. Additional differences were also identified. Copyright 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
